 The birds and other critters stripped the grapes bare.
 I mean BARE.
Not much left blooming but persistent mallow.

    You are the sweetest thang…y’all got a little grotto!

    Because of who you are, you are much more in contact with the weather, I’d imagine. I got that way when we lived in a tiny wheat town in Kansas. It was not only a topic of discussion, it was the difference from making it another year, or having to get a job in town just to survive. Deep, deep ties to the land.

      I sometimes wonder at people who don’t feel connected to the land, how that must feel. And appreciate those with even closer ties to it. I’ve enjoyed all the places I’ve lived and their differences but you couldn’t pry me from this place again.
