Grief

Grief twists my heart in knots, and lets slip a tear.

I see you for a moment from the corner of my eye.

But then I turn and remember that you did die.

I know the choice was right to let you go.

I know you hurt no more even as I hurt so.

I find this cold comfort, though, as I look for you.

But the journey was worth the loss;  I know this is true.
