Gardens, Life, and Listening

November 2, 2010

Patiently wait and listen.

Even if it chips the paint from you.

Stop and smell the flowers.
See them as they really are.

In one patch of flowers,
 there is incredible diversity,
even on the same plant.

Potential, waiting to happen.

Beauty still as the blossom fades.

Life waiting to burst out,
as one spent blossom waits
to release new life to be.

Complexity in closeness,
missed at a distance.

Endless variety,
yet enough familiarity
to feel a part of
one community.
